Fundraiser to Support Make-A-Wish Foundation

LOUISVILLE, KY, May 4, 2005 - The popular Scarborough Faire® Pirates will host “Mutiny Mondays” at Dallas-area Long John Silver’s® locations beginning Monday, May 9. Long John Silver’s will help the Pirates raise money for their favorite charity, the Make-A-Wish® Foundation.

Long John Silver’s will donate to Make-A-Wish a portion of all gross sales between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the four “Mutiny Mondays” – May 9, 16, 23 and 30. In addition to raising money for charity, the pirates will also be “buying” drinks for Long John Silver’s customers.

“The Pirates will be visiting Long John Silver’s restaurants throughout the Dallas area on Mondays in May,” said Roger Menchaca, Long John Silver’s Region Coach. “They’re organizing a ‘mutiny’ at our restaurants because they want free ‘grog’!

“While we won’t be serving ‘grog,’ we will give free soft drinks with any meal purchase to any customers who are visiting one of our restaurants at the same time the pirates are there.”

“Mutiny Mondays” will be held on May 9, 16, 23 and 30 at the more than 50 Long John Silver’s restaurants in the Dallas area. Customers will receive free pirate hats and other buccaneer trinkets, and if the Scarborough Faire pirates are on hand, the drinks are on the house (with any meal purchase).

“The Pirates will be visiting as many Long John Silver’s restaurants as possible on the four ‘Mutiny Mondays,’” Menchaca said. “We’d like to invite all the fans of Scarborough Faire to come out and enjoy some pirate fun, and help us raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.”

Restaurants participating in “Mutiny Mondays” include the Long John Silver’s locations in Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth, Denton, Lake Worth, Waxahachie, Richardson, Corsicana, Lewisville, Irving, Garland, Paris, Weatherford, Grapevine, Allen, Seagoville, Euless, Pantego, Terrell, Mesquite, Grand Prairie, DeSoto, Palestine, Plano, McKinney, North Richland Hills, Roanoke, Carrollton, Rowlett, Granbury, Cleburne and Sherman.
